Business Milestone: Celebrating 30 Years of Alterations Express

Cheers to 30 Years! This year marks the 30th anniversary of the first Alterations Express location opening in Youngstown, Ohio. Since 1994, Alterations Express has continuously provided our customers with fast, professional, and affordable alterations. As ‘America’s Tailor Shop’, we promise to continue providing that excellent service for another 30 years and more!

The Past 30 Years

Our family business can trace its humble beginnings to Egidio Rondinelli, a first-generation Italian-American and tailor who worked at Bond’s Clothing in downtown Youngstown, Ohio. We stayed in the tailoring industry until we acquired the ‘Alterations Express’ brand, our signature ‘Pants Hemmed While -U- Wait’ service, and our tagline as ‘America’s Tailor Shop’ in 1994.

Shortly after, we opened our first store in Boardman, Ohio. As our success slowly mounted in the following years, we opened new locations around Youngstown, Ohio, expanded into Pittsburgh, and then to the greater Cleveland area. Today, we’re proud to say that we have expanded to 12 locations with over 100 employees across two states. And we couldn’t have achieved any of it without our amazing employees and loyal customers!
